The fruit for No. 1 The Beginning comes from a hillside Oakville vineyard planted in 1989, where volcanic soils, gravelly loams, and elevated terrain create ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2023 growing season unfolded slowly, allowing the vineyard to develop exceptional concentration while preserving balance and structure. The result is a wine that reflects both the character of the site and the patience of the vintage.
